this post is for dekayibrown, but all help is acepted,
hi my pc has been down for some time.nagini
had 13 we lost 2, they still have not eaten as far as I can tell , although they all look okay I have tryed slugs and choped worms in a slurry.
I think they might be eatin it but no for shure.they are now 2 weeks +and all are with there parents you know they seem to know that they are there babies. lmk if there are ant tricks to entice them to eat
all are hanging out in pine cones and every day I get them to come out and drink water .thanks so much for your support btw
    bye

Michelle - Try this. It's a bit messy, but we need to get your babies fed.

Cut up a night crawler, I use a single edge razor blade to cross cut (The diameter of the worm is too thick) set the worm pieces on a flat dinner plate and push down on the blade. Be really careful not to cut yourself!

Once you have some worm chunks that are about the size of a dot, I then use a toothpick or the stick from a wood q-tip to offer the piece of food to them. ( A pack of 100 wood q-tips is available at any pharmacy, and they are a very handy tool to have.

Chopped worm or chopped slug is sticky, so it should cling to your stick.

If the toothpick seems too pointy to get the food item to cling onto it for you, then take that same razor blade and slash the stick at an angle.

In a little while I will post some pictures to make it easier.

    Good luck !!!!

Paging Dr. Wayne. Nice job, Wayne.
    Super job, Michelle

Wayne or someone else knowledgeable about Dekayi can correct me if I'm wrong. Feed them everyday, maybe more if they will eat. This is a critical time for them. There success depends on how soon they can get bigger.
With my newborns(Radix) that's the tact I take. They will let you know if they're full.. Good luck
