Opinions on Milk Snake prices please

Several people have asked me to sell them baby milks.

I looked all over and could find no CB offered anywhere..

    Would $50.00 each be unreasonable??

Would it seem unfair to offer as trade for other milk species??

I was hoping maybe to swap one or two for Hondos or Nelsons.

I'd say $50 is reasonable. IMO.
I've seen some pueblo(spelling?) milks in stores for $80-$110

    Pueblan

That's kinda my train of thought, Pueblans, Hondurans, etc.... are all over the place some as high as hundreds of dollars.

However, No one seems to offer the Easterns???

I posted the pictures on Kingsnake, and have received emails asking for some.

Before I reply, I wanted to get a feel for what I should ask for them.

If I can successfully place these babies, I'll breed Carmella next year, I really enjoyed bringing these new lives into the world

Amanda, That vendor is known for selling wild caught, and the fact that they are adult, and they know little about them, I'd wager to say they are. (W/C)

Also when I look at the markings, They are no where near as attractive as mine are.

However, I don't want to "extort" anyone, or price myself out either.

Having photographed the hatching it's easy for me to prove they were born in captivity...

Those ads do have my mind reeling, a 1 for 1 trade for more common species would seem very viable after reading that, Thanks Amanda....

Wayne, I think the best way to go about it is to pay us to take them. So... I'll take two.

Wayne... asking a price for you babies is not unreasonable... I think $50 is very fair. Especially since yours are captive hatched which means they have been in captivity their entire lives, and it has and still is lots of work for you to get them feeding and ready for new homes! (remember to list them as captive hatched and not captive bred, and it's best to list where in NY mama snake is from) Eastern milks are actually well sought after, especially by westerners who don't see much of them at all. I have had many people asking to buy my pair since they are feeding and are a sexed pair! Offering them for trade for other milks or for anything you want, is not a bad idea at all, here is how I see it: when you do a trade, as long as the other person wants what you have, and you want what they have... it should not really matter if one's worth more than the other Trades are nice because both parties only have to spend minimal $$$ to get something they want!

i agree $50 for captive hatched is resonable if however you do breed next year then i wouldn't say that $100 isn't a resonable price
