Soft snuggly beds

I was at the pet shop the other day and I completely forgot to look for those cute fluffy beds. I wanted to see if my snakes would take to them as well as M&M did!

I am not surprise for some reason, Lori.
I would like to let my dogs sleep in my room, not in bed, but maybe next to it, but they STINK!
Even if I give them a bath, which is a big chore for me with my big boys, they still stink a little, and a few hours later, they stink alot again. In the summer I can just hose them off, but in the winter, its too cold, so its a lot more work.
If they were both like Bo, I could bath them a lot faster, but Luke HATES it, and struggles alot.

Well... It's completely not normal for dogs to stink, contrary to popular belief. But we use so much chemicals and bad man made foods that it now has become "normal".
My vaccine free, flea med free, heartworm med free, prey model raw fed dogs (Canaan Dog and Greyhound) don't stink the least bit, have shiny white teeth and good breath (even the 5 year old greyhound, who should have black teeth at that age) and I haven't given them a bath in a year. And yes they go outside and romp in the fields (with supervision) and no I am not just used to smell. Everyone elses dogs make me gag. Oh. And their poop is smaller then my friends Westie and it smells like nothing. I don't know how america took dogs the way they did (or maybe I do *rolls eyes* $$$$) but it makes me mad...

I believe completely in the raw feeding... but with so many dogs, and so many rescues coming and going, I just can't do it. :-( I do give them loads of fresh raw bones from the butcher up the road, and fresh veggies and such. And any meat we won't eat... they got a whole sheep and lamb over the winter, as we just weren't into it. I've got some old goats here on their last legs, and when they go I'll have the butcher make them into burger for the dogs (waste not, right?).

And no, I don't make the horses into burgers. LOL There's one line I can't/won't cross!!!!

Do you think that maybe the fabric helps remove micropests from their skin? OR maybe they just enjoy the touch....

I feed Royal Canin dry, leave it out free choice, and then twice a day they get either raw foods or, when I'm in a hurry, just canned food as a treat. It seems to work, and then when a foster gets adopted, the new owners can choose to do some raw or just keep them on a good dry/canned mix. Not too many people do raw, so I hate to get the foster dogs on it just to switch them back when they're adopted.

canned dog food was invented in my lifetime, and since we were never into canned human foods, there would have been no logical reason to start the dogs on it
