Woa, that is incredible!!! I've done some work with polymer clay, and it is so tricky and frustrating sometimes! How long does it generally take you to complete a snake? If you don't mind giving away your methods, how do you get the patterns? Do you use a cane-work or do you just cut pieces and smooth them onto the snake?

You don't mind if I use some of your pictures as inspiration, right? I'm just beginning, so I'd obviously be no competition. Haha.
Which is more tempting: The fruit of knowledge or the possessed, talking serpent? DUH! - The Serpent!

It generally takes between 1 and 2 hours for a nice piece, but this rhino took me about 6 hours over the course of 3 days. I have made canes to make repeating saddles on saddled snakes easier, but canes can only go so far. as you roll the snake with the cane slice on it to flatten it in, the cane slice will stretch out so you have to accomodate that into your cane or you will end up with a too-stretched pattern. For the rhino I literally just cut and sliced and rolled every tiny piece! I don't mind sharing with fellow artists... I choose to embrace other's talents and not view them as competition
