    Finally the male ! :)

    Hi guys,

do you still remember me and my female eastern ribbon I posted about earlier?
Probably not but doesnt matter, yesterday I finally bought a date for her
Hes in a quarantine box right now to make sure the female will not get any diseases transmitted from him, but it doesnt look theres any single trouble with him, hes just one hungry bugger
My question is, if it is possible that hes already sexually mature so if theres a point in a breeding attempt as soon as the female ends her winter pause? Hes about 60cm in length. I dont really know how old he is, because hes imported and even the seller didnt know.

    Thank you for any advice

It all depends on if you are going to wait for proper fecal tests etc .... my last import ribbon I quaranteened for 6+months.
As far as breeding is concerned I would wait until you are 100% sure the male is 'clean' and I would also wait until after next brumation to be sure they are syncronised and that the male will have 'fresh' sperm.
