    Silver eastern

This is a super neat morph, it's grayish purple in color and has ruby red eyes. The original silver male was found in upstate New York many years ago. Unfortunately that male has since passed however he was succesfully bred and there's a small group of hets that I'm still working with. I'll be outcrossing the 100% het male to a double het erythristic albino and a het piebald (West Virginia strain) so am expecting to have both 50% & 66% hets, plus some silvers. Interesting side note is that there's a very high percentage of male silvers born (very few female silvers). Have had 2 females produced and unfortunately none have survived.

Very cool morph indeed, one of my favorites next to the Golden garter. Hopefully there will be some silvers around within the next year or two.
