    Electronics

Something I've noticed recently, is that my garters seem to be attracted to electronic devices....

If I have my iPod sitting on the desk, the snake will almost always go to it, and often curl up on it. Like they would do if they were basking..

A TV thats turned on, they have no intention of leaving.

Cell phones, TVs, probably computers(I don't like mixing snakes and CPUs), anything..

Is it warmth? Has anyone noticed this?

When Willow got out a while back we found her curled on our xbox 360 controller. Not sure if was the heat or the green light from the charger.

I would think heat to be the main attraction.

They are not just snakes. They're garter snakes.

People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but actually, from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint, it's more like a big ball of wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey stuff.

    I'm liking this dude...

Yeah, I'm guessing heat.. it seems like the small amount of heat a cell phone would give wouldn't make a snake travel across a desk, but...

Heck, Willow went from the kitchen through the living room, under our bedroom door, across our bedroom and up to the xbox. Maybe she just was adventuring and decided to take a rest were we found her.

All of my snakes love my webcam. Hades goes up to it and rubs his nose all over the lens (so cute!) and the others poke their noses onto the lens of it too.

I bet if I put a cell phone in the cage they'd all ignore their hides. Curl up on that instead.

I have enough trouble keeping the children off the electronic devices everyday, let alone my snakes!
