    Anyone breeding Garters in England?

Although an experienced herpetologist in England I am unaware of anyone currently breeding or even offering more than the odd Garter snake here. I'm waiting on several replies to a couple of messages I sent to Germany but so far not one single person has helped me locate any garters at all - much less get to the obvious choices and prices. If anyone has any info at all on this PLEASE get in touch? European breeders....please let me know what you have, where you are and if / how you ship and the policies / prices involved to get them to England. IF and hopefully WHEN I get this info, I will be looking for a breeding project.

I'm looking for garter too. I saw some young checkereds at the Doncaster IHS show last year, other than that I've only seen the odd drab looking garter in a couple of reptile shops near me, I'm not sure on what species they were.

Keep an eye on/search classifieds on other UK based forums too..i keep Oregon red spotteds, San Frans, Lake Chapalas, and Santa Cruz. Although they are not all necessarily UK bloodlines, they were bought and found over here (shows, private breeders ect)

Did you see Zooplan's ad in the for sale section of this site? He is in Germany and he had a litter(?) or at least garters for sale a few weeks ago. There are some other European garter keepers that post here just can't recall their nicks.

It should be no problem at all to find garters if you're willing to travel.
There are quite some dutch breeders (including myself) on this forum with wonderfull species available!

I'm looking at costs for a Dutch breeder to make the trip over to Donny in June, this would be his first U.K. show so would be a fantastic addition to the Donny show and great for Brits to have Garters available for purchase. I'm sorry to say that most routes are already booked up solid and those remaining are ridicuously expensive. If it works out for him I'll let everyone know!

I'm definitely going to Donny and garters are what I'm looking for. I've heard there's three shows this year, the usual June & September ones and an extra one in November (to sell the stuff they couldn't sell in sept so will be bargains at this one).

there're a lot european breeders. You better define first which species you would like to purchase. Reptileparadise (Sjoerd) en I can help you find your snake afterwards.
