    Iowa Herpetological Society

Today, I gave a presentation on the Red Sided Garter Snake (T.s. parietalis) to this group. I had an hour to get r done. New Powerpoint(2010) went very well.
Afterwords, a couple people talked to me about putting on a similar presentation for the Ne. and Minn. Societies.
I also converted a number of people to garter snakes. They said that they had no idea garter snakes could be manageable/friendly.
In addition to all that, a number of people want to tour my snake room and meet some of my snakes.
    All-in-all, a very good day.
This was my first presentation to adults with regards to snakes. I'm used to dealing with 5th and 6th graders.

    P.S. I like 5th and 6th graders better.
