    Kids and snakes

Piper has always liked Failte (pronounced "Fall-sha"). She wants to hold her but I have felt unsure about it. I don't want her to squeeze her and hurt her. But I don't want her to hold to loose and have Failte get away. So we have been working on it and we have good progress. Here is Piper and she is holding Failte all by herself. Piper has been very excited about it and so I am happy we have gotten this all figured out and wanted to share

What a precious picture! I have some of my daughter Catherine when she was about 6 with a black rat snake, Ican remember teaching her how to hold it properly. She did a great job but today at 19 she is afraid of spiders go figure! We fear only what we don't understand.

    Great picture!
My son Jay is five and he does very well with both our snakes, though I do have to watch how much he is 'encouraging' Abby to crawl up his sleeve or rest around his neck.
I was a bit worried for Ziva, our tiny albino, but she put him right in his place by nipping his finger when he tapped her on the nose. (Didn't even break the skin- just surprised him in a 'look what she's doing! Abby never did that...' sort of way.) I think its given him a bit more respect for her because its obvious that yes, she has an opinion about how she is handled.

Crystal, that is a beautiful picture! Your daughter is amazing and I must say that Failte is avery beautiful snake in her own right! She must have a gorgeous Mom!!!

It is wonderful to hear that you all are doing well. Who would have that that an Eastern from CT would end up in WA?

Great job! Looking forward to lots more pictures.
