Another injured snake!! see photos

This gorgeous guy was in my backyard, basking in the sun. I picked him up and noticed his tail is a bit deformed.

The tail probably doesn't interfere with anything, but he does have an injury at his vent on one side. It's hard to photograph, but looks like a bump the size of a small pea.

Good save and nice snake. Try to post a photo of the injury, please. Wait, I see it in the last photo.
Does he have a crusty vent? I can't tell if it's a scab or not.

It's still hard to see in these photos and it doesn't show all the angles. I think a cat got his tail or something, appears to have bite marks. And I don't think the tip of his tail has any feeling in it, I could poke ~2 cm worth of it and got no response.

Looks like he's no stranger to being in the wars. Fingers crossed for him.
