    Question cuestions about feeding

    hi, i want to know if the molly fishes (live) are a good food for a garter snake?
    if the chemicals in the anti-chlorine solution are toxic for the snake?, and last,
    can i put some silver as purificant in the water that my snake eat and drink?

    apparently mollies are fine
    there is some debate about water quality in another thread
    I filter their drinking water and add stresscoat, a tap water detoxifier, for soaks and baths
    no idea about the silver, but would like to learn more

    i have one thamnophis sirtalis, its about 40 cm. long, thanks.

    I guess you probably have one of the garter snakes shown on this web page:

    You would be amazed at the number of different garter snakes we have here in the USA. so many. All of them are fantastic in their own way. For example, look at the Thamnophis sirtalis (concinnus) I can find around my area. Average size is 61cm but I kept a pair for about 20 years and they grew to about 105cm:
