Head on the substrate and oblivious until you get too close
Keeping - 'Florida blue' sirtalis, concinnus, infernalis, parietalis, radix, marcianus and ocellatus.

The head is usually resting on the ground. When they're awake they have it up.
I have caught many of mine asleep. My big radixes are very content with life here at the Ranch. They will be sound asleep when I reach in and scratch their sides.
