    Is one enough?

Well I have a 32inch Female Albino Checkered Garter Snake. I've been feeding her one F/T Hopper a week. Is this enough?

I would suggest varying her diet a little. Perhaps offer some 'safe' fish and earthworms.

I use salmon and trout, both are thiaminase free, readily available and affordable. Although they are both rather fatty fish.

This is a personal opinion but one I felt I should pass it on since I almost lost a large group of babies. I did lose one. It still bothers me.

I would avoid "Product of China" fish.

These guys can tell you better than me, but shouldn't twice or three times a week be a better feeding cycle for a fairly decent sized garter?

Not if you are doing a strictly rodent diet. They are a fattier choice and can easily lead to obesity if not kept in check.

Scott Feltzer has an excellent article on feeding. You can find a link to it on his site: Scott Felzer's Garter Snakes, specializing in aberrant garters . Follow the link on his home page that talks about the article that was written for Reptiles magazine.

This site also has a plethera of info in the "Articles" section.
