Abrupt lump after feeding?
Alright- I got back from a two week class for work, and I enlisted my brother to feed the mouths in my place. He said there were no problems, but his eperience is even more limited than my own.
I was re acclimating myself with my crawlies, but I noticed a rather sharp lump a few inches down my anery plains body. I asked what was fed, and he told me nightcrawlers, left in their compost, and some goldfish (I've already chewed is postier for this one- "well you said fish- I meant salmon in the freezer- that's a longer vent.)
Have any of you ever seen this? This is also the same one that I snagged that lengthy thread-like worm from awhile back.
I will post some pics- right now I am unpacking and looking for some prelim feedback
Thanks.

No call from me until I see a photo. How's the attitude and overall health?

Very active and curious- Not to sound bad, but I hope it's the parasite as opposed to a break- I think that may be easier to treat.

Watch what you wish for. Parasites are of the devil! I think I'd take a bloody beating for one of my snake rather then them having parasites. (I'm sure there are many who would give me that beating. Line forms on the right)

Here are the best pics I can get. There is also a bit of an audible noise that I haven't heard before. Almost like a soft popping as she moves. I called into the vet but they aren't open until Tuesday. I will check tomorrow to see if any rep vets are working the holiday.

that looks to me like something in the muscle and skin layers - either another worm or an abscess

What was the course of treatment when the last worm was found?

It was near her tail- and was coming through the skin- I pulled it out with a toothpick.

Any follow-up meds? If not I would lean heavily towards a parasite.

Could be Plerozercoids caused by tapeworms and from what I treat quite difficult to treat medically.
