    Question on Soak Time?

    Guys,
My crazy juvenile Similis has been soaking in her water bowl for the past 4+ hours tonite. She seems to be soaking alot lately? I'm getting alittle concerned, as this seems to be new behaviour for her...
She shares her 20Long Viv with 2 adult Pugets. The viv temps are at 81 degrees in the basking end and around 74 degrees where the water bowl is located on the oppisite end of the viv, so I don't think its too warm...?
I checked her over for mites and could not see any on her. A couple of weeks ago I thought she had maybe a respitory infection, so I purchased another new 20 long Viv (wife is about to shoot me if continue to buy any more Viv's) and she appears to be OK now. She's as mean as ever, as she freaks and bites when I try and grab her to check her over each week...
Am I just over worried or is she stressed from maybe having to share the Viv with 2 adult Pugets?
Thanks for any advice or your thoughts?
    Jack

Jack, My garters randomly have affairs with the water bowls.

Unless it's chronic, I wouldn't worry too much.

As Wayne says, don't worry yet. Just keep an eye on the situation. It's good that you've already noticed the change in behaviour, so nothing 'nasty' is likely to get past you.

Some of them just love the water. The idea about a shed coming on is a good one.
I wouldn't worry at this point, unless they invite too many friends over.
Then things can get a little out of hand

i would keep checking on her, constant soaking usually means mites or a shed but to much soaking can lead to scale rot.

    Ditto!

I hate it when I come downstairs at 3am and find that they've invited the entire neighborhood.
