over on the field herp forum is another photo of an 8'10" rattlesnake....everyone over there called bs on this....just look at it...you can hold a 5 ft rattler straight out on a long snake hook and make him look big.....I posted a couple photos of my 5 ft florida blue......



and my 6 ft melanistic eastern......

hehehe....big simpsons fan!!!!! the florida blue is actually 34" and the melanistic is 43" sure look bigger tho!!!!

They look indeed very big. What is tricky is that you stand after the snake and you hold it before you. In that way it looks like the snake is at least as high as you, but you are just further from the camera
