    Why?

    Why do Garter Snakes like to curl up in people long hair ny sister once put all 3 of my snakes in her hair and when i told my boss that he asked if i was related to medusa haha.

    and if you have a pony tail or a bun in your hair they will make that their anchor point and curl up and around that part of your hair (base of the ponty tail and bun) its quite interesting

    A very high percentage of body heat is radiated from your head. (That is why we wear hats in the winter)

    so when you combine the cover (your hair is nice to hide in) the security of something to wrap up on, and the warmth of your scalp, it makes an inviting environment for a snake to check out.

    Bull snakes do it too. Ripley always crawls up and gets tangled in my hair at the park.

    I certainly hope it isn't because of the abundance of food available

    Useless (or maybe not) tip of the day. If you get cold at night, wear a stocking cap to bed. It works especially well if you are camping in cold weather.
