    Memorial Day stroll

Went out this morning to one of my favorite places to see gartersnakes. It was overcast when I got there, so I figured I probly wouldn't have to much luck. However, they were all over the place today!!! Most of them were too fast to get any pics of. Probly close to 40 gartersnakes I spotted taking off into the shrubs, most before I could react. Here are a few that I was able to photograph today....

    aquatic intergrade

    California Redsided

    another

    costal

another...this one was under a board, so small I almost missed it!

Really great photos, Jerry. I believe the Coastal is my favorite out of the group.

I have to say...... considering the remarkably high quality of your photographs, Jerry, I'm surprised we don't see you entering the monthly photographic contest.
