    some new pics!!!!

hey i havent posted here in awhile and i thought i would share some new pics!

i love this species for their looks! i like how he has green on the top part underbelly...

Here is his enclosure i set up for him just yesterday!

there is a hide in the back left corner, then he has his bark basking spot and some plants with his water bowl with a piece of pvc in the back right for another hide.

    here are some more shots!

So what do you guys think of the enclosure setup? comment please!!!!! OH and he started eating a week ago... he wouldnt eat because i didnt have worms to feed him due to winter but now i have gotten worms and he is eating like a pig!

Nice looking snake and the cage looks good too. Still bucking the group though and think you've got a T.butleri and not a T.s.sirtalis.....now more then ever, with this group of pics.

    I agree with Roy.

Butler's are so rare on this forum, that I think most of us didn't even consider the possibility that this might have been one. I sure as hell didn't.

now please explain to to me and possible other ID impaired people how you can tell that it's a butler's - what are the distinguishing features?

    - The lateral stripe is high. It's supposed to start in the second and stretch to the fourth row, at least partially. That's why my second guess earlier was radix, because it was high enough to be in the fourth row.

    - The head shouldn't be significantly wider than the neck, which also applies to one or two other garters specialized in invertebrates. T. brachystoma was one of them, I think.

    - Dorsal scale rows 19 max

    - Supralabials: 6 or 7

    - Infralabials 8 or 9

I agree thats is no ´sirtalis, but butleri and brachystome are quiet small secies.
What size is it(weight and lengh)?
Are you sure about the sex?

I'm going to have to disagree with ya guys, I think it is a sirtalis and just one of the many variations of it, but hey what the hell do I know......
