    Gravidness

    ok so my puget and maritime are gravid, about when do they shed and how long after the shed about does she give birth?

    ill post pics of the puget soon, the maritime is harder to tell shes gravid but from having her a while ive noticed shes gotten fatter around the tail area and has gained some grams

    normal gestation period is 90-120 days. they generally shed about a week before birth....but can shed more than once during the gestation period....My red sider went pretty much the whole 120 days last summer, shed once, waited about 3 weeks and she shed again, then had her babies next week. look forward to the photos!!

    kk thanks( i cant wait for the babies), i wouldnt be too exited for the photos thouh, her medication bath thing turns her scales green instead of her reeally really nice blue but the green is supposed to go away with the shed,

    any1 wana take a guess for how many shes gunna have (shes 25" and nice and robust) im thinking 8

    well, I'll say around 25-20....easterns have smaller babies and larger litters.

    lol i was talking about the puget, im assuming the maritime will have 15 cuz shes 23"

    well....not sure....haven't had any pugets...but I want them!!!! depends on baby size...oregon red spots have large babies and around 7 per litter.....

    well heres my guess, pugets-10 with little or no loses, and the eastern-25 with a few loses, sorry thats my guess............
