This happens to me quite often. At some times in the year, up to three quarters of my 30 garter snakes will go into shed at once!!!

Could it be a mmmh, hormonal thing? You know when several women live together their cycles (no not bicycles!) also coincide. Something to do with the smell. Apparently. Eek.

    Re: The amazing triple shed!!!

could be .... I think that for the red-sided and the florida blue it was to be expected as they are very close to each other agewise. The radix on the other hand is a good bit older ... maybe he just felt like joining in with Slithers as they're tankmates?

    Re: The amazing triple shed!!!

one of my kings, who just shed less than a month ago, is shedding again - in synch with the king in the neighboring tank
at the same time four of my garters are in shed, as is the crested gecko
and whether it's a hormonal thing I wouldn't know, but the women's cycle is a form of sloughing as well - just interior rather than exterior
who knows - perhaps snakes repond to the moon or the weather or something else we're not aware of in the same way
