    missing checkered

i don't know what to do, i discovered last night that my female checkered is gone. i have no clue how she escaped. she's a big girl, over 3 feet long and quite "hefty", so i can't imagine that she could have just disappeared. the only way would have been to lift the cage lid and squeeze through, but everything looks totally undisturbed. i want her back ! what to do, what to do....i thought about trying to lure her from wherever she's hiding but wouldn't i need to have some basic knowledge of where that is? i mean, she could be in a different room by now by crawling under the doors, she could have gotten into one of the floorvents, or, worst case scenario, the cats could have found her. i don't really think that the cats got to her because there is no "evidence of a struggle", so i'm still harboring hope that she's alive and well and that i'll get her back, i just have to figure out how to go about that.

put towels under all your doors and the cats would not eat her they would just "play" with her

thanks to everybody for the advice, i already searched everywhere i can think of to no avail. i'm not giving up yet, i read too many posts on this forum from people who found their escapees even after a very long time. on the way home from work i'll pick up some minnows and see if i can't "set a trap". i'll keep you posted.
