    '07 Field trips

    I know a number of us on the forum do some field herping. So, as the season winds down, thought I would share my 2007 list.

    2007 Herp List

    1- Eastern Worm Snake- Carphophis amoenue amoenus
    2- Corn Snake- Elaphe guttuta
    3- Black Rat Snake- Elaphe obsoleta
    4- Northern Water Snake- Nerodia sipedon sipedon
    5- Brown Snake- Storeria Dekayi
    6- Northern Ringneck- Diadophis punctatus punctatus
    7- Southern Ringneck- Diadophis punctatus edwardsii
    8- Mole King Snake- Lampropeltis calligaster rhombomaclata
    9- Eastern King Snake- Lampropeltis getula getula
    10- Redbelly Snake- Storeria occipitomaculata
    11- Redbelly Water Snake- Nerodia fasicata fasicata
    12- Cottonmouth- Agkistrodon piscivorus
    13- Mud Snake- Farancia abacura abacura
    14- Black Racer- Coluber constrictor
    15- Banded Water Snake- Nerodia fisciata fisciata

    Isn't it really mean when someone on the form post a list like this and doesn't add photos

    Lulu, the Copperheads are venomus, but not usually fatal if bitten by them.

    Really nice finds, Sid.





    Here's my list:

    2007 Herp List

    1- Grass Snake- Natrix natrix natrix

    It's really sad. One species and even that one only has one name, repeated twice. Okay, so the entire herp list is 4 species longer, but I assume we're talking about snakes..

    Thanks, Stefan. I was really pleased with this year. Several first for me and yes, I've only documented snakes this year. They are my main interest. If you would like to add your others in this thread, go for it. I'm sure plenty of the member will find it interesting.
