    Hello from the new neighbor!

Hey guys just wanted to take the time and say hello. I'm new here and jumped online to find out new resources for caring for my snakes. A lil bit about me I was thrusted into the snake world after my father and my son had caught a 4ft female on their nature walk. We had believed her to be a male but 2 months later we find, to our surprise, that Max is actually a Maxine! So being a new snake papa I dove head first into everything garter snake. She birthed a litter of 22 but three were not strong enough. I only have 10 left now and plan on keeping about 5. Unfortunately Max passed due to a bad batch of food from the reptile shop. Which is a shame because she was a great snake and very personable. Trust me I wanted to kill them. So thats about it, I just wanted to find a community that is as crazy about garters as my son and I. Lata
