    red sided baby

    Here's my one red sided baby I kept out of the litter of 11...8 died and I sold the other 2. Nice little girl, had no red color at all, but is now turning pink!!

    sorry so many of the litter died. you do have a pretty little snake there, conggrats on that.

    that is some colour, Don
    while I'm personally not fond of pink as a colour, I must say, she's a particularly fetching shade of pink and she certainly wears it much better than I could

    success is much sweeter when you have a hard turn to it.
    Hope that we can see her babies in a few years.

    BTW: Is it a mice oder a rats leg in her mouth?

    I hope she stays pink too!! That is a rat pup leg she is eating. I have had no luck getting mice to breed, but the rats have been doing good. I cut the legs of the frozen rat pups and feed them to the smaller snakes until they are big enough for whole rat pups.

    I usually start with smelt tails for my hatchlings, and turm them to mice pinkies later. Do you feed rodents only from the beginning?
