    Looking for flames near montreal

I've seen some beautiful pictures of flames posted and I would like to find some. I am currently in the St. Lazare/Vaudreuil area, but don't mind travelling a bit to look for them.
    Bred would also be fine.

I kept garters as a child, and would like to do so again, but I would also like something vibrant (and I know that many of the more vibrant species from the states are almost impossible to get here).

    Thank you.

So took a trip to forestiers de St Lazare today. 4 hours, 9 snakes seen. Saw what looked like 2 salamanders, but they cashed into the mulch too quickly to be sure...

Wow, need to proofread when I post from my phone.
Should be "0 snakes seen" and "dashed into the mulch"

Taking the kids apple picking today and will keep my eyes open, and planning a trip to the Morgan arboretum next week.

So apple (and pear and plum) was fun, but apart from bugs there was no wildlife... Guessing too many people trampling everything underfoot.

Haven't made it out to the arboretum but did get to try some of the countryside near my house. No snakes or lizards, but some field rodents (couldn't get a clear look), a bunny, some nice butterflies(mostly fake monarchs), etc.

    Very enjoyable afternoon...
