    Should I introduce a cage mate/friend?

my checkered garter has always been a jittery one. I read somewhere that jittery garters can be caused by being alone. I've had my checkered for about 9 months now. He was a baby when I got him, about one month old. Is it too late to introduce a cage friend for him?

Not too late but males are naturally jittery and a cage mate(same species) might not help at all.

My male checkered garter has been alone for 10 years and has been super calm and loving but I'm about to introduce a female to him, so its never too late!!
