    Don't know but I sure can't wait to find out. That is a amazing garter. Hypo pastel checkered? The flecking almost looks granite but are larger leading me to think more pastel?

    Aka Cyclone garter and Julio is right it was an Eastern. I heard it contracted some kind of skin/fused shed condition and died.

    Wow! Maybe slipped skin disease? It's a newly discovered fungal disease affecting large wild populations of water snakes especially.

    There's videos of them feeding live frogs/toads, it's obvious why it died. Introducing more parasites to a WC snake that's only been in captivity for a short period of time therefore stressed out is a recipe for death.
