Raising earthworms

Not sure where this goes as it is sorta about garter snake care.
Does anyone breed and raise earthworms or possibly nightcrawlers in tubs or tanks as feeders for garter snakes?.

Well, I have never bred invertebrates of any kind but I would certainly hit the public library up for any publications.
