    Bubbles?

Ok, I just took Femme out to check her for anything wrong, and as I was holding her I heard a kind of squishing noise and she started blowing bubbles? She hasn't eaten for about a week, so was she trying to regurgitate, but she didn't have any food in her? Anyone know what's going on?

Bubbles from her nostrils or mouth? Could be respiratory problems, maybe. What substrate do you use? Could draft be a problem?

Then again, I usually expect the worst.

I use astroturf for the substrate, the cage is well ventilated too.

she's probably got an upper respiratory infection
    check your temps
up the heat a bit either way
    usually that works for me
if that doesn't work you may have to give antibiotics

I agree with Drache, sounds like a respiratory infection or possibily pneumonia. Upping the temps will give her immune system a boost. I would get some antibiotics in her anyway just to help her out. Good luck and keep us posted

Elliot, Had she just taken a long drink? I have seen this happen if you handle a snake immediately after drinking.....so don't panic yet!

I agree, my snake blew a bubble once because he had just drank water

That's quite possible, she's been swimming a lot lately, and she seems perfectly fine now. She's been basking and exploring her cage ever since.
