    2015 T.radix Ranch Wild Snakes

While out cutting the grass I spotted the first radix of the season. This male was as nice as could be. Put him back in the garden area after I was done cutting.

They are not just snakes. They're garter snakes.

My kids have been finding them the last couple weeks, I think we are at six catch and release. Isn't it nice Steve to just walk outside and enjoy our radix friends

Steve in your area are you seeing more of the orange or yellow striped? Or do you get a mix? We have been in this house 8 years now, 9 springs, and it seems to vary from year to year. In both yellow or orange stripe but also in coloring of the snake itself.

I hardly ever see orange stripes. Yellow to more white/yellow is about all I see. What does change is the overall color phase. For a few years brown was dominant. Then off green, light phase, dark phase. Not sure what will be in fashion this year.
