Wild garter in back yard

Saw the first wild garter snake in my backyard this week. I was either a male or yearling female red-sided, slithered off to fast for me to get a good look. It was nice to that at least one wild garter survived the nasty winter.

I always love that first sighting in the Spring. Took awhile this year for me. Now, I'm seeing them daily.
