    Hello!

Hi, I'm a 14 year old animal enthusiast from Lago Vista, TX (around an hour from Austin.)
I only own one snake at the moment, and you can probably tell the type from my username. Apart from my garter, Mort, I have two tabby cats, a Labrador mix, an African fat-tailed gecko, an African clawed frog, a hermit crab and plenty of fish. I'm currently trying to buy a dove. I hope to own an exotic pet store of some sort later in my life.
Glad to be on this forum, but I'm not sure how often I'll be posting.
Thanks to everyone for being here with your advice at the ready!

They are not just snakes. They're garter snakes.

Hi there and welcome to the forum...at the risk of sounding old...it's nice to have young people who have an interest in garters and do their best to give them a good life in captivity. My son is going to be 11 this month and he has very little interest in my garters...lol. He loves animals, he is just too lazy to take care of them...lol. Sounds like you have a nice group of critters at your house!

    Re: Hello!

Welcome...i once had a dove that was injured and i brought him or her back to health...when he was all better i went to let him go and he flew back to me and landed on my finger....every day after school (long long time ago) i would go out back of the house and that dove would come to me....it was almost magical until my dog ate him!!
