She was trying to get in the house! She is tiny! Are they hard to care for? She is very friendly!

You should see babies. Very tiny. Is it a male or female? If female, I wouldn't be surprised if she's gravid. They brumate last and are first out in the Spring. Cool temps snake. No need for a heat pad. The babies can be difficult to raise because of the small prey require. Slugs, snails and earth worms.

Its about 9" long and has all the distinct signs of a retained shed.... =(. Wrinkled... No energy... Affectionate... And just makes me sad I can't do much for her it looks female

Its more serious then that.... I think it's already fused to the old skin... She is almost lifeless and has very hard breathing with a loud click

She is currently in some cool water soaking but it doesn't seem to be helping much

Still use the shed box. The humidity will allow the skin the stretch more easily and give some relief to the labored breathing.
Then you might be able to get the shed off. It's worth a try anyway.

This is a baby brown snake. They are very tiny as Steve said.
They are easy to care for in my opinion.
