    PA Eastern Specimens Photography

Hello all! I'm finding a bit of free time and I was just going through some of my albums and looking back at some of the amazing t. s. sirtalis I have found and photographed in the past 7 years. I lost a lot of pictures (none that were terribly important, but still) on one computer, so I'll just post what I have easily available to me! I had some other photos of some other cool phenotypes but like I said, I lost some. Some of these snakes I field collected and used to keep, but a lot has changed since those years.

Enjoy the pictures! Locales will not be listed or revealed.

I loved the golden eyes on this female

Interesting belly on this beast! This is fairly common.

    Orange cheeked beauty!

    Lady in maroon

red girl from a different area... sadly I was not able to get a better picture that actually showed how red she was!

    You can't see me!

This is what I think of as a classic sirtalis:

And looking back I think that THIS is my favorite phenotype of eastern garter snake EVER!

Just for fun... here are some other PA natricines

Erythristic dekay's - He was a big male, seemingly on his way out when I found him. I think that he was old and retiring.

Another dekay's I thought was awesome

    Melanistic red-belly.

Adult females of Eastern Garter Snake and Red Bellied Snake... showing just how big of a difference there is in size between fully grown adults!

    Polymorphism in red bellies! yay!!

    Even their bellies are different!

    Cuteness overload anyone?

And one of my favorites... some of the "little guys" of PA
