    Passing Slugs

This Ranch female T.radix gave birth to 8 normal babies yesterday. She also passed a few slugs.

Sorry about the typo in the title. Duh, Passing.

Glad she had some live ones! By the looks of her tail, she looks like a pretty mama

Steve when they pass slugs, in a mix, or only. When do, or how do you know they have passed them all? Does it take days to clear a females system if it were her first time being gravid?

Don't mean to speak for Steve, but in my experience it varies. I had have snakes take a week or more to pass all of the slugs, stillborns, even live babies. You can normally see that there is still a mass down by the vent, but other times it surprises you.

Let me guess. You eat, sleep and spend all your time with your snakes right? AND have your camera at the ready 24/7. How else do get these pictures?? Also, what's with the slug picture?!? I wanna see the babies please. I never get tired of looking at garters.

Being retired gives me a lot of time to spend with my snake kids.
It sure pays off in there comfort with me and all that goes on in the snake room.
