    uncommon species

    Thamnophis melanogaster canescens
these i picked up from Steven Bol and theyre such an awesome species. theyre small, come in cool colors, super easy to keep perfect for keeping in groups and if your a sucker for small details like me...these guys have black tongues, how cool is that? i hope more people start paying attention to these more uncommon garter species.

Those are awesome man, makes me wanna dig mine out of their tank. Is that a olive green one with a stripe? That's pretty sweet, one of my anaconda phase ones has a stripe but the other 2 don't. Such a variety with these.

It's a shame that garters in general are overlooked but it's simply not logical that the Mexican species are not very common there so fascinating.I don't understand people that prefer Royal Pythons over the countless more interesting species. But enough ranting [for now].Nice snakes!
