    Hand feeding

Proximus ate out of my hand for the first time today! It ws really like a double first, as I was holding him while he ate out of my other hand He ate one fish, and took another one. But while trying to rearrange it in his mouth, he dropped it and and I flinched to catch it and scared him So I went ahead and let him eat in his cage(lined with paper towel again.....) and he went straight after it.

He's getting to be more and more cool every day! I love him!!!!

    Re: Hand feeding

For the first time ever...Cee Cee took a piece of trout out of my hand yesterday. I have to admit...I was quite nervous about trying it. Cee Cee gets pretty aggressive when she eats...and she will basically start trying to eat anything near her when she is feeding...the glass of the tank, hides, dishes...and any fingers near by. But she was being so polite with her eating yesterday...I thought I would give it a try...and she did it! She took the piece of fish very politely and did not try to eat my finger! One small step for Cee Cee...one giant leap for Cee Cee's owner...lol.

Are you sure Cee Cee isn't a concinnus in disguise?

He is rather shy, and that's one reason why it was such a big deal!! He's really been coming around slowly but surely. He's getting to where he just sits still when I go to pick him up.
