    Twitch Pictures

Please welcome our newest T.s.pickeringii (Puget Sound garter). His name is Twitch. He is very sweet and loves to be held. He is putting on weight nicely and is adjusting very well. That last pic is kind of blurry, but I wanted to show how beautiful blue/green his neck is.

Thanks! I'm planning to breed him with my girls next year after a full brumation.

Very nice. I see he even has a bit of red spotting. Concinnus' in SW WA also have that nice turquoise color on throat and neck underside. Sometimes they have lateral stripes that color too, like your puget. I suspect that is because the two subspecies were only recently (in geological time) separated from each other in WA.

Nice. I can't believe the 4 years I lived in Port Orchard not once did I see one of these.

Another great looking snake Kat. I'm truely envious of anyone who can go for a walk near home and find snakes like these.

That is where I live! When did you live here?

Thanks everyone. He is a very pretty guy. I'm hoping to get some fine babies next year.

That's weird. I don't see how one could miss them if you spend any time outside at all.

I see them every once in a while now, but when I was a kid I saw them all the time. I think the NW are taking over a lot of their habitats around here. I end up going to higher elevations and finding a lot more.
