    Hunger Issues

How do you gauge how often to feed?

My Eastern every morning acts like she starving, digging in the bark, returning to the feed bowl constantly. I feed her, and then she's fine. But the way she acts occurs every morning. Is that normal?

Provide more substantial meals, such as mice.

I gave her 4 good slices of Salmon. First time I've tried fish with her. She didn't hessitate, down they went with the same enthusiasm as worms. I don't think pinkies will be a problem for her.

I go by the bodyweight of the snake. 5-10% of it's bodyweight in mice, twice as much in fish or as much worms as it will eat.

    Is that normal?
    Yes, for some snakes.
