    Need some suggestions ASAP

I finally have a line on Thamnophis up here in Canada. A vendor will be importing some next week as part of a larger reptile order. He does not know what species he will be getting - he just knows they won't be restricted for our province. Three types, one of which will be checkered.

So, I'll list what is restricted. Any sub-species will also be restricted.

I'm really curious about what might be coming in. I'd be real appreciative if the experts here could post species that are particularly attractive in their mind that is not on this list. This way I can pass if I know there is something better out there.

Restricted (or not able to be "traded"/sold)

    Butler's Garter Snake Thamnophis butleri
    Eastern Ribbon Snakes Thamnophis sauritus

    Thamnophis sirtalis (Red‑sided Garter Snake)

    Thamnophis radix (Plains Garter Snake)

    Thamnophis elegans (Wandering Garter Snake)

On a personal note, it absolutely kills me that sirtalis is restricted. I really, really wanted an oregon red spotted or one of those flame red sirtalis'.

    Thanks in advance.

It also sucks that Radix is on there

A Puget Sound Blue would be a good choice. They are healthy eaters, seem to like pinkies, seldom musk and rarely bite.

Pugets are actually in the sirtalis group.

Western ribbon or Gulf coast ribbon would be nice choices.
