Well, if you have to cut a hole in somewhere in the tank or lid and run the cable out through it, then you tape up around the cable where it comes out the hole. Like I said, I'm just winging it here. Not really sure how to describe it better........

I understand now. That seems like it'd work, but, it also seems like it'd leave a bit of space for a snake to get stuck on the tape.

I wonder how I could get rid of that problem.

Use more tape on the inside facing the sticky part. Back to back kinda thing. Or stick some paper on the sticky parts.

Then it wouldn't stick to where I wanted it to stick though. Because the sticky parts would be gone.

Fashion a hinge from the tape, Connect the two halves, use duct tape on both sides facing into itself.

Then trim with scissors to make sure no sticky stuff is showing, now just rock the left side over to the right to gain access...

Or is this not the cover anymore??

I'm confused, this is not the cover from the snake escaping out of the screens. but thanks if that's what you were explaining.

We're now on the subject of a filter. If I use a filtered pond in my tank, how can i get the wiring out without leaving a hole open that a snake could escape through?
