    Re: Changing colors?

All these pics were of Pheobe about I think a week or two before she had her babies. It only took her about around a half an hour I think . It was cool to watch. Everytime she sheds she does it in her water and continues to go in circles or figure 8s untill the end when she got out and used the piece of bark we had in there. I have never seen a snake shed the head section but have watched a lot of sheddings over the years. I haven seen babies shed other then the first shed after birth so I too am excited about watching them shed and color up. I hope the pics help.I have a video of some over her shedding but I think the only way to post it would be to post on youtube first. Im not sure.

I wanted to Thank you Steve for your help with the heating pad.

I have 4 Easterns(mine: Furbie and Whiplash; moms: Diamond and Silky) all are 5 and half months old. So much fun gaters are.

Anything kinda rough wll work. My water bowl is fake rock so that works, but mine just use the bedding.

64% is ok. A little higher after his eyes clear up won't hurt. Just mist it a little.

Rocks, bark, branches, everything a rough will help the snake with the shed(the snake have to rip the old skin on his head, mostly on the tip of the lower jaw), and a bit higher humidity will be ok, I prefer better than rising the humidity in all tank just to spray water on the snake untill it makes small drops all over him(he will probably not like it very much) once or twice a day, never had problems with bad shed on any snake.
They usually shed when there is most calm around the tank, so dont look forward too much for seeing it
