    Very nice flames !!

I also heard that flames are very weak and can die easily. But last year we got ourselves some babyflames from Alan Francis and his adults are offspring from Blais as well. So far none of the babies died, actually they are doing great So I have good hope for these little ones.

Well learing about genetics in biology, i learned that with breeding some of these more attractive or beneficial traits in an animal or human can also have less noticed harmful traits that can silently effect the animal or human in many ways. I was just thinking that perhaps these flames or snows could be an example of this scenario.

Beautiful looking snakes. I love the flames with the red dorsal stripe as well, outstanding looking snakes. I hadn't actually heard about problems with the "fitness" of the flames before.....that's very interesting. One of my worries when it comes to line breeding for certain traits or such. The Blais line has some outstanding examples in it....it's kind of a shame it sounds like it's "dieing" out.

I hadn't heard about the weakness in the Flames either.... a bit worrying as I'm getting 1.2 this year.
