    While up at the farm (100 mi east of home) getting ready for spring planting, came across this little lady. She is a real beauty, a non-typical eastern. I suspect a gravid female.



    P.S. Rhea has chloe shed? Would love to see how her color is now.

    Snakes have been pretty hard to come by this year, but found this one about a week ago getting ready to shed, and again today with some fresh new skin. About the prettiest that I have ever found (aside from the blue one). There is another, almost black that is just as nice, only a little faster.

    Got em! He was back under the same rock, and he was just a bit slower! The stripe is a very very pale yellow, almost white, sides are pale yellow. Beautiful little guy. The lump in the middle is probably a slow toad.
