    Re: 3 baby san francisco

Wow congratulations!!! best of luck to the new little ones

But as for the ones that sold for 1600-pr....I would not pay that much money for a snake! I know that some snakes are more rare and etc... but $800 per snake is getting like the ridiculous prices that some ball pythons carry on kingsnake.com!

I know that prices go up when the supply is few.. and demand is high... and so on and so forth.... but sometimes I get annoyed with the "here lets just add another zero onto this price" aspect of snake keeping. It's just sad to see someone invest thousands of dollars in a new snake morph, only to have that slap them in the face 5 years later when the market is saurated with them and they are going for under 100 dollars...

My advice is to wait it out, eventually there will be a breeder who actually cares way more about the snakes that he does money. That's how I am getting a female BP morph this year that normally sells for about $1000 for $350 shipped. And that's after it has eaten 6-10 meals!

Make friends in the reptile world, it really does pay off for both of you in the end!

Wasn't there a ball python that was going for $60,000 a pair for a while... Yeah right, a couple thousand is the most you will ever see from me.... And you have to really impress me.
