I was collecting firewood for a bonfire tonight and I found this little one hiding under some bark...
He/she's only about 10" long, but pretty thick. Western Hognose's are threatened in Illinois, in fact there have been none vouchered in this area since before 1980. So after a couple of pics I let this one go where I found it...cool find though and a beautiful little snake.
