    My male parietalis

    wont eat ever since i separeted him from the other one because i thought the other one had mites iits been about a week when should i worry/force feed it about 17"

    for 17'' I think you can wait a bit more than a week but you could try other methods of feeding in the meantime.

    at 17" I'd agree that you have time to wait...........force feeding is a last resort type of feeding, not something ya just do because the snake hasn't ate in a week......with that said try and temp it in some way, hold in front of it the food with tweezers or put live fish in a dish with little water......

    i tried the dangling with strips of salmon and putting the fish in the bowl he still wont eat

    you used the live fish in the bowl? how long did you leave them in there?

    some times if you leave them for a day or two they'll eat'em.....hows all the viv. perameters? heats good, hides are plentiful.......and its only a week so I wouldn't worry to much yet, unless it seems like its sick or something, just keep trying, but not every day because you could be stressing the snake.................
