    New from South Caroilna!

Hi! I found your website so useful over the weekend! I found what I think is a DeKay's snake in the backyard and decided to keep him. He is adorable! We have him set up in a 10 gallon aquarium. So far, he has eaten a slug and half a earthworm. I am feeding him every other day. Is that correct? We are having the best time just watching him. I am trying to get up the courage to try to handle him. I had a ball python in college and had no problem handling him, but for some reason "wild" snakes seem more intimidating! Haha! Like the python wasn't wild! Anyway, thanks for the webpage and answering so many of the questions I had!

We'd love to see some photos if you get a chance. Storeria dekayi are always welcome here. They are an awesome garter-like snake.
